TEACH THE METHOD is a 25-hour immersive instructor training for The Ignite Method, created and led by Olivia Barker with anatomy led by Nicki Silverman.

Designed for current instructors, aspiring teachers and anyone curious about deepening their understanding of movement.

Teach the Method is the immersive instructor training behind The Ignite Method, designed to develop confident, knowledgeable and inspiring movement educators.

Through anatomy, programming, class design, cueing and practice teaching, you'll learn not only what to teach, but how to create classes that leave people stronger physically, mentally and emotionally.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

ANATOMY - Facilitated by Nicki Silverman
Understand the body behind the movement and learn to teach with greater knowledge and intention.

PROGRAMMING + CLASS DESIGN
Learn to build purposeful, well-sequenced 45- and 60-minute classe. Not simply memorize choreography.

CUEING + PRESENCE
Develop clear communication, confident room presence and your own authentic teaching voice.

PRACTICE TEACHING
Put what you're learning into practice through hands-on teaching and real-time feedback.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Teach the Method is for current movement instructors, aspiring teachers and anyone who simply wants to deepen their understanding of movement and The Ignite Method.

You don't need to know yet whether you want to teach.

Come because you're curious. Leave with a deeper understanding of movement, greater confidence and a new perspective on what you're capable of.

THE PATH TO CERTIFICATION
The weekend is your foundation, the finish line.

To become a Certified Ignite Method Instructor, candidates will:

01 Complete 25-hour Teach the Method Immersion Weekend
02 Complete 10 observation hours
03 Complete 10 practice teaching hours
04 Receive 5 hours of mentorship and coaching feedback
05 Complete final instructor evaluation
06 Become a Certified Ignite Method Instructor

Completion of certification does not guarantee placement on a studio teaching schedule; placement depends on readiness, successful evaluation and class availability.

SCHOLARSHIPS
We don’t want finances to be the reason you don’t say yes.

A limited number of partial scholarships and flexible payment options are available for Teach the Method. If you feel called to this training but the investment creates a barrier, we encourage you to reach out.
