LEEZA Kopaeva
Leeza began practicing yoga as a teenager in an effort to calm anxiety and to complement her athletics. Yoga quickly became a refuge and a warm community to turn to. In college, Leeza spent a summer volunteering at a local yoga studio in her home state of Maine and became interested in the philosophy and teachings of the practice. While studying neuroscience at school, she spent more and more time in the studio, discovering the magic of kirtan, yoga nidra, and meditation. After graduating from college, Leeza traveled to Ubud, Bali in 2022 to complete her 200 hour teacher training with YogaUnion. Soon after, she completed her 50 hour yin teacher training and began teaching in Northern California. Leeza moved to Nashville in the summer of 2024. She is currently working towards her 300 hour teacher training with Janet Stone.
You can expect her classes to be mindful and breath focused, with an emphasis on alignment and curiosity.
When she’s not in the studio, you can find Leeza working in clinical research, in nature with a good book, cooking dinner and listening to a podcast, or somewhere on her next big travel adventure.
