This is a four-week series introduction in mindfulness course. Each week will focus on a different foundation of mindfulness. The class will have instruction on building the skills of mindfulness, an experiential portion, and time for question and answer to help remove any barriers to practice. No experience is needed! Bring a pen and a journal and wear clothes comfortable for sitting. There will be no asana (yoga postures) in this course.

Jess DiNisco has personally been practicing mindfulness and yoga for nine years. She has over 500 hours of yoga teacher training. She is also currently enrolled in the Awareness Training Institute Mindfulness Teacher Training program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. Jess has completed several workshops and trainings in mindfulness. She has presented didactic and experiential workshops and lectures to several different professional programs throughout Tennessee. She has taught to social workers, medical doctors, nurses, lawyers, therapists, psychiatrist and several other populations. Jess is enrolled in a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine and Integrative Mental Health to further her skill set in order to bring these practices to individuals from varying backgrounds.
