Liz Veyhl

Liz stumbled into her first yoga class in 2005. As a high school and college athlete, she was insistent that yoga was not going to be the "sport" for her. She had no idea how quickly she would be hooked, loving both the challenge of the physical practice and the deeper emotional benefits. Those two components continue to draw her back to the mat.

Liz is a certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga instructor (E-RYT 500). She has completed both her 200 and 500-hour trainings under Baron Baptiste and now travels to assist Baptiste trainings and programs around the world. She has also studied under Live Love Teach founders Philip Urso, Debbie Williamson and Stacy Dockins.

Liz co-created and helps facilitate EmPower School of Yoga's 200-hour teacher training with Kelly and Lauren. She loves sharing the work from her own trainings and experiences on her mat as a way to develop new teachers and leaders in the Nashville yoga community.

A Native Nashvillian, she is passionate about both the local Nashville and global yoga community. In 2014, Liz founded Small World Yoga, a non-profit dedicated to growing yoga in outreach locations across Middle Tennessee and she organizes its fundraiser, the Music City Yoga Festival, which brings together the local yoga community.

Liz is also the creator of Nashville Paddle Co's FloYo (SUP yoga) program. When she's not in the studio, you'll likely find Liz on the lake where she spends her summers teaching yoga on stand-up paddle boards or leading FloYo certifications.
