Shakti Sunday Supper!

Join us for a very special first time Shakti Sunday Supper Flow August 27 at 3:30. Inspired by our amazing experience at The Shine center in Kenya, two 90 minute power yoga vinyasa classes will be lead by Shakti teachers and assistants followed by supper provided by Shakti Power directly afterwards.

The class & dinner will be donation based. Proceeds will help Shakti host Africa Yoga Project teachers during their Handstands Hugs and Happiness tour in Nashville. Please bring your friends and family. This a great way to connect with others and share our love for food, yoga, and service!! Classes will be held in both Shakti and Shiva rooms.

Nairobi to Nashville: AYP teacher Walter Mugwe

Shakti and Small World Yoga are excited to welcome Walter Mugwe to Nashville! Walter is a dynamic Baptiste Yoga teacher and trainer from Africa Yoga Project (AYP). In Kenya, he teaches full-time at the Africa Yoga Project Shine Center. Walter has also taught at special needs community centers, prisons, and schools around Nairobi. 

Get ready to be inspired and empowered as Walter leads a challenging, fun, exciting, and breath-centered donation class.

Shakti Book Club - The Yamas and Niyamas

Join Shakti and Barrett Freibert for a discussion of The Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele. An important text for all yogis, you can read it over and over again and fid new meaning each time. 

Shakti Book Club will be donation based to benefit the Napier Elementary School library. Please bring a book (children or adult) to donate, or make a monetary donation at the event to buy books for the library.

Sunday Sweat and Shine!

Shakti's 8am and 9:30am classes on May 7 are FREE and collecting donations to support Africa Yoga Project. Join Murn at 8am and then Kelly & Lauren at 9:30 for some fun, sweaty practice followed by mimosas (or Murnmosas) and muffins after each practice! 

All proceeds will benefit Africa Yoga Project and Shakti's Seva Safari to Kenya in June.

Musical Roots - Drink, Dine & Shine

Join us for an evening with Shakti Power Yoga and Small World Yoga, to benefit Africa Yoga Project. AYP is a non-profit devoted to the education, empowerment, and employment of young people in Africa through yoga.

The evening will feature food from local Chefs from Porter Road Butcher, Barcelona Wine Bar, and Acme Feed and Seed. The entertainment and music will be provided by Nashville's own Native Run, Brock Hayhoe (Miss Continental), and other special guests. 

The ticket cost: $55 includes live music from local artists, appetizers, and desserts from local chefs, tastings from Tito's Vodka and drink ticket.

Silent and Live Auction, featuring local and global items and experiences.

Zootopia - benefiting Africa Yoga Project

Enjoy a night at the movies with your friends, family and yoga community. Well Placed Smile might be the most serene annd gorgeous place to view a film! There will be popcorn, candy, and drinks. The whole evening is donation based. This event was created to come together have fun and support the Africa Yoga Project. Shakti is traveling to Kenya this summer on a Seva Safari with AYP.
